Panera Bread and Five Below to Open Soon in Lansing

According to the Lansing State Journal, three new businesses are headed to southeast Lansing to the shopping area along Edgewood Boulevard with openings this month or September.

Panera Bread is preparing to open in late August or early September at the corner of Edgewood and South Cedar Street.

Across the street, discount store Five Below is preparing for an Aug. 30 grand opening in the Edgewood Towne Center.  The retailer caters to tweens and teens with merchandise priced at $5 and below.

In September, the shopping area will have another new occupant when Stock & Field, an outdoor sports retailer, opens at the site of a former Sam's Club.

The business will have a Sept. 6 soft opening followed by a Sept. 13 grand opening with giveaways.

The retailer sells lawn and garden merchandise, farm and ranch supplies, housewares and clothing for men, women and children.  Its sports goods include tools and equipment for hunting, fishing, boating and camping.
