Hundreds of new jobs are coming to Ingham County.  According to the Lansing State Journal, Plymouth-based Loc Performance Products acquired Demmer Corporation's North Lansing Plant at 1600 N. Larch St. last July.

The company announced plans on Tuesday to invest up to $96.5 million to expand the facility.

As part of the expansion, the company will create 700 jobs, including 500 in Lansing and 200 in Plymouth, said Bob Trezise, president and CEO of the Lansing Economic Area Partnership.

Loc creates mechanical systems, fabricated structures and armor products for defense and commercial industries.  The company selected Michigan over competing sites in Ohio and Pennsylvania.
