New Health and Safety Requirements Doesn’t Stop Spartan Fans

What a basketball game at the Breslin Center on Wednesday evening. The Michigan State Spartans ended up winning their game against Nebraska by a score of 79-67.
It wasn't the best game we've ever seen, but the MSU Spartan basketball team got it done regardless of way to many turnovers.
The Spartans turned the ball over 11 times in the opening 10 minutes and still prevailed to end on a good note with another MSU win.
And this game didn't stop any of our loyal Spartan fans from showing up on Wednesday regardless of MSU's vaccine requirement.
Based on the new rules, fans showed up before the game started to follow the vaccine requirement. And that meant showing vaccine cards to prove negative COVID-19 tests.
According to the Lansing State Journal:
To meet the vaccine requirement, spectators 12 and older were asked to show their COVID-19 vaccination card or a digital image along with a photo ID matching the name on the card, according to guidelines announced last Saturday.
Once everyone was inside the Breslin Center, masks were still required.
Lansing State Journal also adds:
Those without proof of vaccination were required to bring a photo ID and a printout or photo of their negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the event start time.
The way I see it is people love MSU basketball games and all other sports on campus as well.
It doesn't take that much time to show up for a home game, show staff members what they need to see in order to be admitted into the Breslin Center.
Our next Michigan State basketball game takes place this Saturday down in Ann Arbor as we take on Michigan. Tip off is at 2:30 p.m. GO GREEN!
