Neff Kindergarten, a part of Grand Ledge Public School, posted on their Facebook page that the school will be closed for the rest of the week.

High absenteeism due to illness is the reason for closing, according to WILX.

The school stated that:

"...the entire building and all the buses are being thoroughly cleaned and sanitized."

School officials are unclear as to why everyone is becoming sick.

“We’re talking all the precautions we can to keep students safe and get them ready to learn again,” John Ellsworth, a spokesperson for Grand Ledge Public Schools.

100 students were reported as being out due to vomiting. Neff has a total of 382 students. Grand Ledge Public Schools is currently working with the Barry-Eaton Health Department to help solve what is going around in the school.

Other buildings will remain open this week.
