If you like American hot-rods, this will make you sad. And if you're wondering why there have been so many news stories about sinkholes lately, this will freak you out even further.

This morning at 5:44AM, a sinkhole opened up beneath the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky. No one was hurt, but it gobbled up eight 'Vettes, and left a hole measuring 40 feet across and 30 feet deep.

I believe that's a black 1962 Corvette sitting at the bottom there. Bummer.
