Michigan State redshirt junior Jalen Nailor (pictured above), via his Twitter account on Monday night, declared for this spring's NFL Draft.

Nailor missed four games this season due to injuries, but he still accumulated 37 catches for 695 yards and 6 touchdowns.  He was the second-leading receiver on the team behind Jayden Reed.

Jalen had six catches for 108 yards in Michigan State's 31-21 victory over Pittsburgh in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl last week in Atlanta.

He joins offensive lineman Kevin Jarvis, tight end Connor Heyward, and running back Kenneth Walker, III as players who have declared early for the NFL Draft.  It is unclear as to whether junior wide receiver Jayden Reed will declare for the Draft.  He, and all junior underclassmen, have until January 17th to declare for the Draft.

Nailor dealt with injuries throughout his time in East Lansing.  But when he was healthy, he was a prime target for Brian Lewerke and then Payton Thorne.  He had 86 career receptions for 1,454 yards and 12 touchdowns.  He is a Palmdale, California native (Bishop Gorman H.S.).

MSU has 22 recruits coming in as true freshmen next fall.  But the team has lost nearly 20 players to the transfer portal so far, in addition to the outgoing graduating seniors.  The Spartans have four incoming transfers so far, including former Wisconsin running back Jalen Berger.

The next MSU Football event is the annual spring game/scrimmage in April after they go through the normal 14 spring practices (the game/scrimmage itself is the 15th practice, the maximum allowed by the NCAA).  They open the 2022 season on September 3rd at Spartan Stadium against Western Michigan.
