The new head coach for MSU Football, Mel Tucker, is getting right to work. Tucker has brought in two assistants from his former team in Colorado.

Jay Johnson will be the Spartan's offensive coordinator and also the quarterbacks coach.  That is the same position that he held when he worked for Coach Tucker at Colorado.  Johnson comes with quite a resume. He has spent 10 of his 25 seasons as a college coach in an offensive coordinator role, coaching at schools in Minnesota, Louisiana and Southern Mississippi.

Coach Tucker said in a press release that Jay Johnson is an experienced play caller and expert quarterback coach.

Also joining the ranks of MSU football: Chris Kapilovic and former Michigan State Player Harlon Barnett.

Coach Tucker said he was going to hit the ground running, and he is true to his words.

GO GREEN!

As a special bonus, I found this video from a year ago that takes you behind the scenes of the MSU football facilities. I thought it was interesting, so if you'd like to watch it, it's included below.
