The Michigan State University athletic department announced on Thursday that voluntary workouts for student athletes will begin on June 15th.

This covers football, men's and women's basketball, and volleyball players.

Here's a statement from MSU Athletic Director Bill Beekman:

We are excited to welcome our student-athletes back to campus, our staff has put together a comprehensive plan with a clear priority on the health, safety and wellness of our student-athletes. The strict protocols will allow our student-athletes to safely work out and begin to prepare for a return to competition.

Athletes will be required to get tested for the coronavirus when they report back to campus, plus other restrictions.

All NCAA college athletics have been shut down since March 12th because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
