Movie Theaters and Entertainment Venues to Reopen

Let's begin with local movie theaters. How many of you feel comfortable going back into a movie theater with everything that's going on these days?

According to the Lansing State Journal, Regal Cinemas locations will not open this year and that includes the Regal Cinemas in the Lansing Mall.

However, Lansing's Celebration Cinema is among the theaters that will reopen on Friday, Oct. 9. Studio C in Okemos will not open for a  couple of weeks.

Here's what you can expect at Celebration Cinema:

Guests can expect reserved seating that will space groups apart from one another in auditoriums, reduced capacity and mask requirements except when customers are seated during a movie.

NCG Eastwood Cinemas at the Eastwood Towne Center will also open on Friday, Oct. 9.

Another entertainment venue that will reopen this Friday is High Caliber Karting, which is located inside the Meridian Mall. Closures have been difficult said the owners and managers. But opening now comes with real challenges

Those in charge at venues like High Caliber Karting and Launch Trampoline Park in Okemos say they have been ready to open for months, but it will take time and steady customers to make up for the months long closure." (LSJ)

Launch Trampoline will open on Oct. 16, with increased sanitation, limited entrances to its trampolines and reduced hours. Social distancing will be required and masks will be too.
