The Mini-Mac Bridge in St. Louis, Michigan
Michigan has a few “mini” versions of the Mackinac Bridge...and this is one of 'em.
This one is located in St. Louis, Gratiot County. Not only is there a mini bridge, but a mini Michigan mitten, mini Lake Michigan, and mini Lake Huron, all rolled up into one nifty roadside attraction.
You might be able to walk across it for a dollar, and possibly feed the fish, of which are a good number in the 'fake' lakes.
Located in St. Louis at 8200 N. Begole Rd. Take 127 north past Alma and get off Exit 127A. Turn east and Begole Rd is just a few feet down; turn left on Begole and the bridge is about one block down on the right past the attraction's storage facility.
The Mini-Mac is 200 times smaller than the real thing, 120 feet long, and gets up to 20 feet above water at its highest point.
Make sure you get some pictures when you make this roadtrip side stop.
