The Ingham County Animal Control & Shelter is helping out pets in need in Midland, that were affected by the flooding in that area.

Almost all of us in Michigan are going through different times that we have never had to deal with before, but in the Midland they are dealing with more than just self isolation and working from home.   They are dealing with the results of 3 different damns that gave out and left a path of flooding and destruction.

This historic flooding and the evacuations that went with it  have left many residents and their pets in need of assistance.  This is where the Ingham County Animal Control and Shelter stepped in.

Volunteers are going to be traveling North to the Midland area to deliver much needed supplies and that includes food, cat litter, crates, and many other necessary items.   Ingham County animal lovers have stepped up and generously donated these items to the folks helping out animals in the Midland area.

Anyone who wants to help out and make a donation for this relief effort as well as well as others like the food bank and public assistance programs can drop items off at the Ingham County Animal Control in Mason.

If you would like more information on this program or any other programs sponsored by the Ingham County Animal Control can give them a call 517-676-8370.  Please keep in mind the I.C.A.C. is currently closed to the public due to the COVID-19 pandemic,
