Recently, Michigan was ranked the #1 state in the nation.
Even so, someone just had to go and do a list of the Ten Worst Places to Live in Michigan for 2021.
The researchers responsible for this list said they compiled their data based on:
1) Things people need that there's a short supply of
2) Crime
3) Education
4) Jobs
5) Poverty level
6) Homes
7) Income
8) Population
9) Commutes
10) Health insurance
All this is from the most recent American Community Survey and the FBI's Uniform Crime Report.
