The winningest coach in Michigan basketball history is headed to the NBA.  Coach John Beilein has agreed to a five year contract to become the Cleveland Cavaliers coach.

Beilein reached a deal with the Cavaliers on Sunday and informed Michigan's administration of his decision to leave for the NBA on Monday morning.

According to the Detroit Free Press, Beilein told Michigan he was for sure leaving to go to Cleveland.  He then began telling his players.  There are no immediate plans in place to replace him.

Michigan's John Beilein, a coach who has never been an assistant and climbed almost every level of basketball, coaching high school, junior college, Division III,II, and 1.

He's led Michigan to two Final Fours and four Big Ten titles in his 12 year run in Ann Arbor.
