Here's some good news for Michiganders, we all have a chance to access free at-home COVID-19 tests.

After my wife and I had COVID back in January, we decided to stock up on home tests just in case we get the COVID-19 virus again, sometime down the road.

It's impossible to know if and when you're going to be hit with the COVID-19 virus, so it's nice to know we can get our hands on more free COVID-19 test kits.

Here's the latest information, courtesy of mlive.com:

Residents can request tests through the end of August through AccessCovidTests.org or by calling 211. Each household can receive one kit containing five tests, and deliveries typically take about a week.

We've been dealing with this pandemic for quite some time now and it's good to know that Michiganders can register to receive the free at-home test kits.

You know as well as I do that come fall, the surge of COVID-19 is going to go back up again and we'll have to do the best we can to stay safe and avoid the spread of COVID-19.

Mlive.com also tells us:

“We encourage residents to take advantage of these free tests as many families get ready to head back to school. We are grateful for our partnership with the Rockefeller Foundation to ensure equitable access to tools that prevent COVID-19.”

I know of at least two or three people who were infected not only once by COVID-19, but twice. And another person I know was infected three times and is doing fine now..

Continue to wear masks if it makes you feel more comfortable and there's still nothing wrong with social distancing if you feel the need. Best of luck to everyone!
