The Michigan State Spartans have now won four games in a row.  Big athletes slammed into each other and onto the hardwood floor as the Spartans beat Illinois 60-53.

It was a game full of fouls in a very intense rematch between Michigan State and Illinois State at State Farm Center.

And by the time it was over, the Spartans had done enough at their least favorite spot on the floor, the foul line, to score a critical revenge victory.  On the other end of the floor, they were perhaps as good as they've been this season.

Illinois made a desperate late run to cut an 11 point deficit to 3, but a 9 minute field goal drought for the Fighting Illini and 17 for 20 foul shooting for the Spartans made the difference.
