Michigan is one of the nine states involved in the recall of ground beef. According to WILX-TV, "Chicago-based company Amity Packing Co. is recalling more than 2-thousand pounds of raw ground beef". Apparently, someone found plastic in some of their beef. But who hasn't put cheese slices, still in the plastic wrapping, on a burger on the grill? C'mon - I'm not the only one.

According to the recall from the United States Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service, the label of the affected beef can be identified by the following: 1-lb. VACUUM-PACKED, packages containing “Pre 95% LEAN/5% FAT GROUND BEEF” with lot code “0060,” case code “11402” and USE/FREEZE BY date of “01/31/2020” on the product label.

No word on what stores may be selling the beef. I suggest sticking to the wings on Sunday. Just to be safe. But, that's just me.
