It seems no matter how great of a match you and you're significant other are there are going to be certain things that you just don't jive on. If you are looking for an example, go to any Michigan mall, strip mall, big box store, or specialty store and you'll see the evidence sitting alone in idling vehicles.

My wife and I are no exception. If we are out together and I say to her:

Hey, I'm gonna make a quick stop into Best Buy.

She never says anything more than:

I'll wait in the car

No mention of how I have no intention of being "quick" either. Now, if you replace "Best Buy" with "JOANN Fabrics" and flip the conversation around, it's the same conversation.

It's not that I haven't gone into JOANN Fabrics or Michaels and had a GREAT time, it's just my idea of a good time is different than Wendy's. Apparently giving voice to the various critter statues or attempting to shoot pine cones into her cart from 2 aisles over isn't as fun for her as it is for me. Go figure!

For no other reason than confirming my own beliefs, I took to Facebook to find out if my theories about lonely spouses in parking lots were true.

Turns out I was right! There are a ton of stores in Michigan where you'll find significant others, patiently or otherwise, waiting for their other half to emerge from a "quick" trip while they pretend to be on a stakeout.
