I never really gave it much thought until I saw the phrase for the first time:

You know that feeling you get when it's almost your turn to order and you're still trying to figure out if you want the braised lamb chops or chicken nuggets when, suddenly, the server asks, "And what can I get for you?". Or how about when you're in line at Mcdonald's and it's your turn to order but somehow you've forgotten your order and everyone is waiting...on you. For some, this is a very stressful moment resulting in sweaty hands, labored speech, and an increased ability to upset everyone behind them in line.
After learning its definition, and going through a quick self-diagnosis, you have come to 1 of 2 conclusions:

- You do suffer from "Menu Anxiety"
What's interesting is that this 'condition' is actually a fairly accurate way of determining someone's generation.

Some Boomers and Gen Xers (44-77) admit to having difficulty ordering when cars are piling up behind them in the drive-thru. The generations that suffer the most from Menu Anxiety are the Millennials and Gen Zers (18-43).
