The U.S. Attorney's office revealed the charges, with Iwamasa named as a key figure. Prosecutors allege that Iwamasa, alongside others, provided Perry with the dose of ketamine that led to his fatal overdose. Iwamasa has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute ketamine, resulting in death.
According to the investigation, Iwamasa acquired ketamine from a street dealer, Jasveen Sangha, just days before Perry's death. The ketamine found in Perry's system was at levels used in general anesthesia, far beyond the recommended therapeutic doses.

Authorities claim it was Iwamasa himself who administered multiple injections to Perry on the day of his death. Immediately following Perry's death, the five defendants are accused of working together to cover up their involvement by deleting messages and even falsifying medical records. Sadly, Perry's autopsy revealed he had been clean for 19 months prior to the October 23, 2023 overdose.
