Up in the U.P.'s Delta County is the old village of Sac Bay, residing in the Garden Peninsula. The name "Sac" is derived from the Sauk tribe, of whom the small bay was named after. The community that sprang up near the bay was dubbed "Sac Bay" as well.

There were a few schoolhouses and mills in the peninsula, but the Sac Bay village's main establishment was a general store. The general store still stands, as does another old storefront and a few other old structures.

Fishing was one of the area's main sources of income and remains a nice little getaway for the few who know about it. Take a roadtrip up.....great photo ops await you!
