Michigan’s 2024 Archery Week #2 Whitetail Deer Harvest Report
Another week is in the books for Michigan's Early Whitetail season, and so are the numbers. Before we look at this week's whitetail deer harvest numbers (Early Archery to date), let's review opening week.
Michigan's 2024 Whitetail Early Archery Season Week #1 Recap
Week #1 of Michigan's Early Whitetail season says 10,920 deer were reported using the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Deer Harvest Reporting tool, accessible online or via a mobile app (click here for download information).
- Antlerlered: 6,803
- Antlerless: 4,117
- Percentage of Bucks Taken in Week #1 Early Archery Season: 62.3%
Of course, the information is only as good as the data, and I hope that everyone who successfully completes a hunt will not only tag their deer but also report it, as required by law.
In case you're wondering, as I was: "What if someone doesn't have access to the internet or a mobile phone? How are they supposed to report their hunt?"

The answer: hunters are allowed to have family members and friends report their successful hunt on their behalf. However, that family member or friend will need access to your kill tag license number, date of birth, AND information about where the deer was taken.
Before getting into a county-by-county breakdown, here's an update on the season total after two weeks of hunting.
- Antlerlered: 11,453
- Antlerless: 7,120
- Total 2024 Early Archery Season (as of 12:14, 10/15/24): 18,573
- Percentage of Bucks Taken in Week #1 Early Archery Season: 61.7%
