I think we all need a vacation after the last year or so, it has been tough with the pandemic. We sure deserve little R & R, and many of us will be ready to get away on Memorial day weekend starting on Friday May 28th. Many of us will be boating, fishing, swimming, or just ready to get outdoors, and fire up that barbeque.

Here is what AAA thinks is gonna happen, more than 1 million Michiganders will travel, and most will do so by car on Memorial Day weekend. A very big increase, up 57% from last year. There were only about 700,000 people traveling last year because of the pandemic.

Other Numbers they are anticipating is over one million folks are gonna travel in Michigan. Of those, most of course will be by car, 46,133 by air and 7,645 in some other way. Last year there was about 700,000 people traveling, and the year before, 1.2 million.
