According to the Lansing State Journal, a COVID-19 outbreak at various buildings in the Meijer Distribution Center complex in Delta Township is linked to 62 cases in four counties.

Several of my nephews and one of my bowling buddies works at the Meijer Distribution Center complex and of course I worry about their safety too. You just never know where this virus is going to end up on any given day!

The distribution center remains open while the Barry and Eaton District Health Department investigates the outbreak.

All employees who have tested positive and any who fall into high risk categories and can't safely report to work are being paid through Meijer's pay continuation program.

The Lansing State Journal also said that cases are spread across different buildings throughout the complex.

Meijer is working with Barry and Eaton District Health Department and utilizing detailed contact tracing measures to minimize the risk of COVID-19.

Meijer is communicating with employees at the complex and following detailed cleaning protocols. The company also is conducting daily health screenings and temperature checks.
