Remember Any of These Old Mackinaw City Motels? 1950s-1970s

How many times have you spent the night in Mackinaw City?
If so, do you even remember the name of the motel you stayed in?

Over the decades, I've stayed in Mackinaw City numerous times and I can't recall the names of ANY of the motels I spent the night in.

Mackinaw City reels in thousands of vacationers every year - therefore, a large amount of motels are necessary to accommodate 'em all. For such a small community, it probably has featured more motels per square foot than any other of its size.

I do remember staying in one of the motels back in the 1970s and the cost was only three bucks a night. THREE BUCKS. It ain't that cheap anymore, that's for sure.

Taking a look at the gallery below, maybe you will recognize one of these motels as one you possibly spent the night in.....I think I recognize one. There are fifty motels featured in the gallery - from the 1950s thru the 1970s - and I would bet that most of them are either gone, under new management, or re-named as something else.
