Lizzo played a sold-out show at LCA in Detroit last night and had some fun with a birthday girl from Novi.

Detroit native Lizzo returned home on Thursday, October 6th, 2022 to play a sold-out show at Little Caesars Arena. During the show, Lizzo gave one fan a birthday gift that she will never forget. Brie Southward, of Novi, received a DM from the Queen herself before the show notifying her that she would be brought on stage.

How did this happen you ask? Well, before the show, Lizzo went to social media looking for anyone that may be celebrating their birthday at the show. Brie responded to the tweet to say just that. Lo and behold, a short time later, Brie received a DM from Lizzo herself.

Brie, and her best friend Whitney, received this just as they were walking into Fabletics in Troy to buy some Yitty apparel. After freaking out for a bit, the information was exchanged and the rest, as they say, is history. During the show, Lizzo kept true to her DM and invited Brie on stage. Check out the photos below.

Thanks Whitney for capturing the moment and sharing it with us.

I spoke briefly with both Brie and Whitney today and they are still in disbelief over what happened. Brie had the "best birthday ever" and they both agree that there is no way to top that in years to come.

Lizzo's tour continues tonight in Toronto where she will take the stage at the Scotiabank Arena.

5 Things That Could Replace The Infamous Holdout House Next To Little Caesars Arena In Downtown Detroit

The blighted home on the north side of Little Caesars Arena, infamous for its dilapidation and for its owners setting its asking price as high as $5 million when the Ilitchs tried purchasing it, has burned to the ground.

The house, located in the 2700 block of Cass Avenue, was considered an eyesore amid what is supposed to be a revitalized area of the city. As part of the agreement with the state of Michigan that gave them $400 million in taxpayer funds to use toward the construction of Little Caesars Arena, the Ilitchs promised to develop the surrounding 50 blocks into a 686-apartment neighborhood rife with shops, restaurants, and bars called The District Detroit. The Ilitchs said virtually all of the construction would be at least in progress by the end of 2018. As of 2022, practically no progress had been made on the development.

With that in mind, we've come up with a few ideas as to what could replace the Little Caesars holdout house in the 2700 block of Cass Avenue.
