Legendary Eric Clapton Announces First Michigan Concert
Who's ready to see Eric Clapton in his first Michigan concert? It's been a very long time since Eric Clapton has performed in Michigan and fans are pumped and ready for a great show.
Eric Clapton is by far, one of the greatest guitar players in music history. I remember Eric Clapton when he was with Cream and also Derek and the Dominoes.
One of my all time favorite songs from Derek and the Dominos featuring Eric Clapton, is Layla! This song came out in 1971 and to this very day is an all time classic.
Now we get to see the Legendary Eric Clapton right here in Michigan at Little Caesars Arena on Saturday, September 10.
Tickets will go on sale on Friday, May 20 at 9 a.m. Tickets start at $69.50 for one of the best concerts you will ever see.
It's amazing that Eric Clapton has been performing since the 1960's. He's been in at least nine groups over several decades. According to whereseric.com:
Eric Clapton embarked on his musical career in 1963. Since that time, he has worked in 9 different bands. In order, they are:
The Roosters
Casey Jones and The Engineers
The Yardbirds
John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers
Cream
Delaney & Bonnie & Friends
Blind Faith
Derek & The Dominos
Legends
All I know is that I have to get tickets to see Eric Clapton in September at Little Caesars Arena. Clapton puts on an excellent show.
Mlive.com tells us more about the concert:
Clapton will be accompanied by an all-star band which includes Paul Carrack of Squeeze and Mike and the Mechanics fame, Doyle Bramhall II, Nathan East, Sonny Emory and Chris Stainton. Jimmie Vaughan will be the opener.
Let's take a listen to one of Eric Clapton's many hit songs:
The last time Eric Clapton performed in Michigan was on July 3, 2010 at Pine knob in Clarkston.
Now twelve years later in 2022, our chance to see Eric Clapton is here!
