The Lansing area's first Golden Corral is scheduled to open sometime in February.  A company official said the restaurant chain known for endless breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets will open its newest Michigan location on Elmwood Road in Delta Township.

Bob McDevitt is the senior vice president of Golden Corral's franchise development.  McDevitt said he couldn't give a grand opening date yet.  He said owner Thomas Lee is still waiting on final health and fire inspections of the building to be completed.

Delta Township Supervisor Ken Fletcher said it is encouraging to see a strong, viable business occupy the space on Elmwood Road.

McDevitt said Golden Corral plans to develop additional restaurants in Michigan in the next few years.  The chain is based in North Carolina.  Here's more information from the Lansing State Journal.
