Today is Nature Photography Day and with this gorgeous weather we are having, it's a great time to get out and enjoy the beautiful world around us!

According to National Day Calendar, Nature Photography Day started with the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA).

"It’s in the spirit of preservation of these wonders that NANPA created the celebration," says National Day Calendar. "Every image that inspires us to care for our surroundings and preserve it for future generations celebrates the day."

Aside from taking and sharing photos of the nature around you, National Day Calendar has a few suggestions of places to get out and take photos to observe today's celebration including: visit a local preserve, botanical garden, lake, river, ocean or even a national (or state) park.

I've dabbled in nature photography in the past when I got my first "real" camera but with the high-quality cameras on our phones now it makes that hobby possible for everyone and is honestly incredible what people can create or capture.
