Kentucky School Teaches Adulting
Fern Creek High School is making sure its students are prepared for the real world with a new class called 'Adulting 101'.
The 3 day course, which is for seniors, was the brain child of teacher Sara Wilson-Abell. Preparing students for life after High School is what the classes are about. The first class will focus on money, day 2 it's Home and Health, and day three is about being a professional.
The students also learn about car maintenance, washing clothes and cooking food.
Wilson-Abell, says its important that students have these life skills.
'Adulting 101' has been such a hit that the school will bring it back next year. Other schools are now thinking about adding the class to their school schedules.
