If you could get frequent flyer miles by eating Kentucky Fried Chicken, I could fly to the moon and back.

16 times.

When I was a kid, we used to go to KFC all the time. There was a period of time in my life that I ate so much Kentucky Fried Chicken that I would have dreams that I had turned into a chicken...or a rooster.

Okay, well maybe I didn't have those dreams but I did eat a lot, a lot of Kentucky Fried Chicken. But the one thing that I never, ever did? It was to lick my fingers when I was eating KFC. Even though their slogan for over six decades was, "it's finger lickin' good".

Frankly, I've never been a person who licks my fingers when I'm eating. I've never licked my finger before I turn a page. I've never liked my finger before I've counted money. Now I don't see anything wrong with that if someone wants to do it (and I've seen lots of people lick their fingers over the years), but I've just never been compelled to lick my fingers. I don't know why.

Anyway that whole sticking your fingers in your mouth has become an issue these days with the COVID-19 pandemic. Remember, to keep from getting the virus don't touch your face, your eyes or your mouth.

So sticking your fingers in your mouth is definitely a no-no. Realizing that, Kentucky Fried Chicken is making it's "finger lickin' good" slogan go away for awhile according to the CNN website. They say it won't be gone forever, but for the time being during the pandemic because they say that they feel it's just not the right thing to say right now.

Makes sense.
