The passing of Alex Trebek to cancer left a hole in our hearts and left Jeopardy without a host. The producers of the very popular game show came up with a really good idea: celebrity guest hosts.

Jeopardy.com has the list of guest hosts and their bios.

Being a temporary host of the tv show became a very hot ticket; everybody wanted to give it a try. Producers of Jeopardy then came out with the list of those celebrities who would be given a shot at the podium for a couple of weeks each.

The parade of hosts began back on March 8th with former contestant & GOAT Ken Jennings. Ken, who is a consulting Producer for the show, did a nice job. Next up to the podium was Executive Producer Mike Richards. Richards is a producer of Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune; he has also produced several other shows over the years and even hosted a show on Game Show Network (GSN).

Journalist and New York Times best selling author Katie Couric followed Richards. Then it was physician and TV host Dr. Oz. The current celeb host is Green Bay Quarterback Aaron Rodgers. His two week stink started Monday. Along with hosting, Aaron is a past winner on Celebrity Jeopardy.

Waiting in the wings to host the game show is CNN's Anderson Cooper. He will be followed by NBC Today Show host Savannah Guthrie, and then it's actress and neuroscientist Mayim Bialik, who recently wrapped up her role as Amy on the Big Bang Theory.

60 Minutes correspondent Bill Whitaker will then take his turn hosting Jeopardy. Whitaker has been with 60 Minutes since 2014 and has been an award winning journalist for years, with stories that have taken him all over the world.  Finally or should I say, "last but not least," CNN Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta. Along with his CNN duties, the doctor is also a contributor to CBS's 60 Minutes.

In my opinion all of the guest hosts have done a great job so far, but like everyone else I do have my favorites.

Regardless of who is chosen to take over hosting duties on Jeopardy, they will have very big shoes to fill after the passing of Alex Trebek.
