Jackson sure had its fair share of little downtown (and around) cafe's.  In fact, it still does.

A cafe' usually has a cozier atmosphere than a regular full-fledged restaurant; booths, smaller tables, a counter where you can read the paper and have a cuppa coffee, and simple fare like sandwiches, fries, fried chicken, pie, and burgers. Almost like a drive-in except indoors.

The gallery below shows many old cafe's along Michigan Avenue, as well as some current ones. Some of the more rare ones include Central, El Dorado, Enos Hoyt's Place, Hahn's, Hotel Osborn, Jackson,  Kavanaugh, Lum, So Different, and Wolfe's. Thrown in for good measure are some later ones like Blue Moon, Regent, Roxy, and a few others.
