Attention Coffee Lovers! What You Need to Know About the First-Ever Detroit Coffee Week
Get ready, coffee lovers! Detroit is about to buzz with the first-ever Detroit Coffee Week, hitting the scene from July 22 to 27. This caffeinated extravaganza isn’t just another brew fest—it’s a full-bodied blend of lectures, training sessions, fierce competitions, and of course, plenty of parties!
Brought to life by Detroit’s own Dessert Oasis Coffee Roasters (DOCR) in collaboration with So-Flo Coffee from Miami, and with a nod from the Specialty Coffee Association, this week-long celebration promises to perk up the professional coffee community like never before.
Expect heart-pounding latte art showdowns and a tantalizing Signature Drink Competition with a grand prize that could whisk you off to Costa Rica. Plus, parties hosted by local favorites Dozer Coffee and Madcap Coffee will keep the energy flowing well into the night.
The best part? All of the activities are totally FREE.
Tickets can be found here. Again, entry for spectators is totally free, but if you want to join in on things like the latte art competition, there is a fee. All events are to take place at Dessert Oasis Coffee Roasters — Ferndale Cafe + Headquarters.
So, whether you’re a seasoned barista, a coffee connoisseur, or just someone who loves a good cup of joe, Detroit Coffee Week is brewing up something special for you. Don’t miss out—come sip, savor, and celebrate the coffee culture that’s percolating in the heart of Detroit!
