
The Annual Jay J. McCrae Toy-A-Thon Returns for 2025
Townsquare Media Lansing, the Lansing Capital Area Salvation Army and the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve are teaming up once again to collect Toys For Tots, all to help make sure every child in Mid-Michigan has a reason to smile this holiday season.

With help from the annual Jay J. McCrae Toy-A-Thon, Toys For Tots distributed more than 24,000 toys in 2024 to almost 5,000 kids across the Greater Lansing area. Officials say the need is even greater this year.
About the Annual Jay J. McCrae Toy-A-Thon
Named for the late Jay J. McCrae, a longtime Lansing radio personality who championed the toy drive for many years, the Toy-A-Thon aims to collect as many toys as possible to be distributed to underserved children across Mid-Michigan between now and mid-December.
Where and When to Donate Your Toy
Anyone who wishes to make a donation is encouraged to drop off a new, unwrapped toy meant for a child ages 0-18 at one of the following locations between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Friday, December 5:
- Walmart at Eastwood Towne Center in Lansing (3225 Centre Blvd, Lansing, MI 48912)
- Walmart in Delta Township (409 N Marketplace Blvd, Lansing, MI 48917)

Representatives from Townsquare Media Lansing radio stations 100.7 WITL, 99.1 WFMK, 94.9 MMQ, 97.5 NOW-FM and others will be on hand to help collect donations. Members of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve will also be available to accept any cash or check donations during the Toy-A-Thon.
When Toys Will Be Delivered to Families
Toys For Tots expects to deliver toys to families across Mid-Michigan between December 15 and December 17. More information can be found here.
