It's a common phrase on the golf course, but not so much on the baseball diamond. However, the baseball diamond is exactly where you might hear it later this month.

Golf on the Baseball Field of the Lansing Lugnuts

Jackson Field in Downtown Lansing, Home of the Lansing Lugnuts, will be turning into the Grand River Country Club on June 27th, 28th, and 29th.

This is a fun event that the Lugnuts have done for the last couple of years now. The baseball field gets turned into a 9-hole golf course and you get to shoot from all over the concourse, for a grand total of 27 shots.

Golf By Yourself or With a Group

If you want to grab your clubs and do a little golfing, there are a couple of options for you. You can golf by yourself for $35. Or, if you can get a group of four together, it's just $120, so you save five bucks each. Your ticket gives you golf access, plus you get some goodies to take home; a Grand River Country Club golf ball and logoed golf towel.

If you really bring your A-game, there are prizes too!

The person with the highest point total from one completed 9-hole round after the event concludes on Thursday will be proclaimed champion! And if that’s not enough, the champion will also receive a complimentary night in the Owner’s Suite to enjoy a 2023 or 2024 Lugnuts game (date TBD) AND presented the coveted Grand River Country Club Championship Red Blazer!

You can earn points with how well you play along with some fun bonus opportunities, like wearing a Hawaiian shirt or bringing a donation for the Greater Lansing Food Bank.
