Two new business are coming to East Lansing.

If you've driven or walked through Downtown East Lansing along Ann Street near M.A.C. Avenue, then you've probably noticed the vacant business spots next to Mad Eagle have some new signage outside.

What New Businesses are Opening in East Lansing?

One of the two spots has sat empty for just over a year since the GoodFellas Bagel Deli closed in January 2024. Now, new signage indicates two new eateries coming to town.

East Lansing will soon welcome a Savvy Sliders and a Fat Boy's Pizza.

Savvy Sliders is a Michigan-based chain and has another location in the area. It can be found in Okemos near the intersection of Jolly and Okemos Roads.

They serve up all kinds of sliders (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) sides, and shakes.

For the pizza place, Fat Boy's Pizza, this one will be the first one in Michigan, let alone the first one north of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. They serve up HUGE pizzas (full pizzas or by the slice) , wings, fries, drinks, and more.

Further more, it seems like Fat Boy's Pizza and Savvy Sliders are connected in some fashion, just check out this delicious looking picture.

The name might sound familiar because there is a Fat Boys Pizza in Holt, however, they are not related.

When are New Restaurants Opening in East Lansing?

At this time, there is no exact word on when these locations will be open. Just a sign and a promise on their respective websites of "coming soon". However, the advantageous thing to do would to be open before the start of the 2025-2026 school year.
