When it comes to our everyday lives, there's so much going on; work, school, daycare, time with family and friends, extracurricular activities, and a whole lot more, that convenience typically ends up being the thing you value most.

Can I swing by and pick it up? Can I have it delivered? Especially with a newborn, the fewer errands or stops I have to make, the better. That's why supermarkets like Meijer, Target, and Walmart are so appealing; it's a one-stop shop.

Lansing Area Farmers Markets

But when you want (and have the time) to stop and smell the roses, you can do that literally and metaphorically at a Farmers' Market.

There are numerous reasons why Farmers' Markets are so fantastic,

  • You get to support your fellow community members by shopping locally
  • Produce is always in season
  • Meats, cheese, bread, and other foods are always fresh
  • You can find handmade items such as jewelry, soaps, and bags
  • There's usually a food or drink vendor there, so you can sip a coffee while shopping

If these reasons have you dying to stop by a Farmers' Market, you're in luck because summer in the Lansing area is rife with them! Check out a list of the top 10 Lansing Farmers' Markets below.
