This Michigan Ice Cream Shop Is Serving a 6-Pound Sandwich
You've heard the saying, "I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream". Well, it turns out there's one ice cream shop in Michigan that takes that saying to the next level.
Michigan Ice Cream Season Is Officially Back
Michigan weather is finally starting to warm up, and that means that all of our favorite seasonal ice cream places are finally opening their doors. That includes Kearsley Kone in Flint.
Kearsley Kone officially opened for the season on Friday, April 17. And when it opened, owner Matt Stimac debuted some new items, including a 6.3-pound cookie ice cream sandwich.

You read that right: a 6.3-pound cookie ice cream sandwich.
A Look at Michigan Ice Cream Shop's Giant Ice Cream Sandwich
Normally, a cookie ice cream sandwich is a single serve dessert that is about four ounces. It's two "normal" cookies with some ice cream sandwiched between them. However, THIS ice cream sandwich takes it to a whole new level.
This ice cream sandwich is definitely meant for sharing because the cookies are 10 inches apiece, and there's a 2-inch layer of ice cream between them. The sprinkles, of course, are optional.

This whole idea began with a tool Stimac invented; the I C Slicer (patent pending). The tool allows you to slice a perfect, 2-inch thick slab of ice cream off a 3 gallon tub every single time. That's when it dawned on him... "We're going to make an ice cream sandwich out of this."
How to Get Your Hands on One
You can order ahead for a whole cookie ice cream sandwich—you MUST give them at least 24-hours notice. Or, if you just want a slice, Kearsley Kone is serving up giant individual slices while they last for $8 a slice.
