Michigan Man Doing Everything In His Power To Have Tiger Stadium Rebuilt
There's nothing quite like an old ballpark, which is why parks like Fenway & Wrigley are leagues above the rest. There is so much history that's taken place there, and the ghosts of all the MLB legends are still alive there. But another place that's still alive with the ghosts of baseball's greats of old is the corner of Trumbull & Michigan, where the once great Tiger Stadium stood.
It's been 25 years since the Detroit Tigers played a game on the old grounds, and something special was lost on the last day they played there. Since then, Comerica Park has seen some amazing moments, but it's now been 40 years without a championship, with the majority of those years spent in Comerica Park.
One Michigan man has started a petition that he is certain will work, if he can just gain enough traction
Over the last few weeks, I have been in DEEP THOUGHT, on how to get OUR TIGER STADIUM BACK! The first thing that popped into my mind was to find A LOT of PEOPLE WITH BIG MOUTHS, to drop big hints, wherever they can! Despite what the doubters, the fools, say, YES TIGER STADIUM CAN BE REBUILT, but it's gonna take time, and a lotta word of mouth conversations.
How is he going to accomplish this though? Currently, there is the Detroit Police Athletic League which has its new headquarters and a baseball diamond on the site where it once stood, so that would mean tearing down the new facility to accommodate his dreams.
IF WE HAD THE GUTS, THE WILL, THE PASSION, THE DRIVE, THE INTELLIGENCE, to rebuild Tiger Stadium, right back in the CORKTOWN AREA, with what economic boom is about to hit down there, IT COULD REALLY BE A SPECIAL PLACE AGAIN, where simple folks, can catch a bus, an uber, a cab, a ride with some buddies, and CATCH A TIGER BALLGAME, just because they feel like it! YOU CAN'T DO THAT AT COMERICA!
Maybe he could get this dream to become a reality, however, getting it built in the same location is highly unlikely, but who knows? With enough power of the people, I could see it happening.
