As much as we want to keep our youthful spirit alive during the Halloween season, it’s quite clear that people want to continue to keep it a holiday for kids and children. Unfortunately, for adults, the only thing that we have left is parties involving alcohol.

It’s like they took the fun and youthfulness of candy and replaced it with the sad reality of booze. But that being said, we can still go out and get costumes or dress up and hit the town to celebrate; it's the only way we can now. You’re starting to see more adult-themed Halloween parties pop up all over the state and recently there has been a number of bars in the area have announced that they’re hosting events that are Halloween-themed pop-up bars.

The events feature spooky-themed adult beverages, and there are tons of them popping up all over Michigan. One that is happening locally is at the Henderson Castle in Kalamazoo in October, which is an Edgar Allen Poe, pop-up speakeasy, which will also come with a retelling of some of his short stories and will feature Edgar Allan Poe, historians talking about the man himself.
This is just one of the many parties that is going to be happening across the state. Below, you can see a gallery of some of these events so you can get ready to get your spooky season on, and your drink on. Just make sure to drive responsibly and don't accidentally turn yourself into a ghost with bad choices.

Hix House In Livonia Pirates of the Caribbean Halloween 2022

In prior years we've seen everything from Beetlejuice to Ghostbusters but this year's theme took on the Pirates of the Caribbean, equipped with its very own Black Pearl, with a realistic dungeon inside, along with a voodoo hut that featured a manikin dressed as Tia Dalma.
