GRPD Requests Help Identifying Person of Interest in Hit-and-Run
The Grand Rapids Police Department has announced a person of interest in a recent fatal hit and run but needs the public's assistance in identifying who the person may be.
Fatal Hit and Run
According to a press release by the GRPD, the incident took place on March 10th around 3:15 am when an adult male, Roberto Delgato age 53, was found lying in the road around Division Ave S. and Andre St. SW. Police believe he was hit by a northbound vehicle that fled the scene after striking the man in the below vehicle. Delgato was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators have identified the car as a:
"2006-2008 Honda Pilot, dark in color (black, grey, or dark blue), with damage to the driver's side headlight (the headlight and the area around it), potentially with damage to the hood on the driver's side. The windshield is also likely cracked."

The person of interest police are trying to identify is seen below as an African American in blue jeans, a plain white t-shirt, a blue unzipped jacket, and white shoes. There is a $3,200 reward leading to any information leading to the identification or location of this person.
