Join WFMK 99.1’s John Robinson for a Trip to Ireland with Collette
Are you aware that Halloween was invented in Ireland?
That it has more people with red hair than anywhere else in the world?
That there are at least 30,000 ruins and castles in Ireland?
Plus, many of your favorite celebrities are from Ireland: U2, Liam Neeson, Pierce Brosnan, Sam Neill, Maureen O’Hara, Colin Farrell, and Richard Harris among the many.
Well, it’s all true, and you’ll be able to check out some of this stuff — and more — with the Shades of Ireland trip presented by Collette. There aren't many countries as beautiful as Ireland...
Collette has done all the hard work organizing a 10-day tour of the best stuff the isle offers. We'll visit Dublin, spend the night in a castle (haunted, hopefully!), kiss the Blarney Stone (if you have the courage), and stand on the Spectacular Cliffs of Moher.
We'll hang out with a typical Irish dairy farm family and have a few nips at a historic whiskey distillery. I can't forget to mention the tours of the beautiful Irish countryside and the Coastal Route of the Ring of Kerry. The itinerary allows us a few sightseeing options and solo meals, too.
Collette handles the flights, food, hotels, sightseeing, and one-of-a-kind local experiences. Our only job is to have fun and take plenty of photos.
The journey starts July 31, 2025, but it's not too early to think about booking. We're hosting a special travel presentation at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, to learn more via Zoom. Register online at tinyurl.com/yevktwyk.
