Do you think your class has what it takes to name the Ingham County Sheriff's Department's newest recruit, a 2-year-old Labrador retriever?

The department is hosting a competition among elementary schools, and the winning class gets to dub the dog with its new name.

To enter the naming contest, schools in the department's jurisdiction can submit their top three ideas to swriggelsworth@ingham.org by Oct. 28.

Let's get busy dog lovers!  The winning classroom will be announced Nov.1 and will receive a pizza party with Sheriff Scott Wriggelsworth and the dog's new team.  The Lansing State Journal has more information.
