Due to the coronavirus pandemic, many questions came to a screeching halt. Questions like when can I update my master bath or can we build the house of our dreams, or what about putting on a new roof?

We have some good news for you, home builders and remodelers across the state resumed construction on Thursday, May 7 and they are prepared, trained and ready to help you get that project done.

When I think of remodeling, I think of all the hard work I put into my home which took quite of bit of time, especially if you're a do-it-yourself type of person like me.

But when it comes down to it, hire the professionals to build your new home, or to put in that new kitchen you've been dreaming about for so long.

By the way, new COVID-19 safety measures are in place to ensure the safety of builders, their employees and homeowners. The most important thing you can do these days, is to hire safe contractors.

HBA members have developed COVID-19 safety plans, have the necessary Personal Protection Equipment onsite and have completed online training sessions to ensure they are working safely.

According to the Lansing State Journal, consumers should know not every builder or contractor is an HBA member and may not have gone through the safety training that their members have received.
