If you've travelled a bit around the U.S. you have probably seen the beautiful work by Greetings Tour! Now, East Lansing and Jackson are getting their own postcard-style murals.

Greetings Tour Art

This is exciting stuff. Art lovers and Instagram enthusiasts and many others in-between have enjoyed these fun murals from art duo Victor Ving and Lisa Beggs, also known as Greetings Tour.

According to their website, Ving is a muralist, Beggs is a photographer and together they have been traveling the country in their RV since 2015 to complete over 45 murals across 21 states on a mission to eventually paint in all 50!

"Greetings Tour creates landmarks through public art," they share on the Greetings Tour website. "Using the classic large letter postcard style, they work with communities to create colorful murals featuring local landmarks, history and culture."

Similar Murals In Michigan...

While you may have seen some murals around Michigan in their same "Greetings From..." postcard style, the Greetings Tour team were not the ones who painted them as the ones in Lansing and Jackson will be their first ones in the Mitten, according to their Mural map!

But what about this one in Lansing?

While it is the same, fun style, the "Greetings From Lansing" mural was actually painted in 2015 by Michigan artist Mathew Sharum, CLICK HERE to read more about it.

East Lansing and Jackson Murals - Where & When

FOX 47 reports, Greetings Tour is planning (weather permitting) to be in East Lansing painting the 11-foot high, 51-foot long mural on Roadhouse Pub (122 N. Harrison Road) the south-facing wall.

The mural, FOX 47 says, will be in the artists' postcard design style featuring large letters and colorful imagery that is all about the city!

"Each letter in “East Lansing” will contain something recognizable in the East Lansing community," FOX 47 reports. "Including the Eli & Edythe Broad Art Museum, the Division Street Parking Garage, the Mary P. Sharp “Raising Harmony” sculpture, Sparty, and the unmistakable squirrel at the top."

Also featured on the mural will be the Anishinaabe people in recognition of the East Lansing, MSU community of which, FOX 47 says, is occupying the contemporary Lands of the Anishinaabeg.

As far as the Jackson mural goes, there are not as many details as the one in East Lansing; however, Greetings Tour's website does say Jackson's exact dates for their tour are to be determined but are expected in September.

Jackson is becoming known for having bright, beautiful murals around the city due to the Bright Walls festival and this would be another, perfect addition!

As we await our murals here in Michigan, here is a look at one of the latest projects from the Greetings Tour team earlier this month in Oxford, Mississippi:
