A tattoo artist from one of the most popular businesses in the city's Old Town neighborhood will make his reality TV debut next month.

According to the Lansing State Journal, Cam Pohl, a 26 year old Grand Ledge native, has been selected as one of 18 contestants to appear on the Paramount Network Series Ink Master.

Pohl has been sworn to secrecy about the show's outcome, but said that viewers will see a variety of tattoo styles and backgrounds, from old school to contemporary.

The show's first episode of season 12, Ink Master:  Battle of the Sexes, will air at 10 p.m.  June 11.  It will pit nine men and nine women against each other for the opportunity to win $100,000, a feature story in Inked magazine and the coveted Ink Master title.

Pohl has worked at Fish Ladder Tattoo Company in Old Town for six years.  He specializes in multiple tattoo styles including realism, neo-traditional, florals and female faces.
