Governor Whitmer Signed Order to Protect Michigan’s Drinking Water
It's now official, Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed an executive order to protect the Great Lakes and Michigan's drinking water. The new order will replace a previous one that was voted down by the Michigan Legislature.
According to WILX-News 10, Your Breaking News and Weather Authority, Whitmer says she is committed to creating the Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy.
The new order restructures the Department of Environmental Quality to EGLE, which will focus on improving the quality of air, land and water, protecting public health and working toward using more alternative energy sources.
