Football fans will do just about anything to help their team win, even not washing their jersey so they will no wash away the wins.  Seriously, I have friends who do this.  In all fairness, I have been known to change my shirt thinking it will help the Lions win, well we know how well that has worked.

Along with 'lucky clothes' many fans have their own 'good luck' foods that they eat religiously on game day.  Anything to help your team win.

Kansas City has made it to the Big Game, and their fans swear by ribs and bar-B-Q at their game day parties.  Tampa Bay fans eat chicken wings, buffalo flavored is the fan favorite.

Next year when the Detroit Lions go to the big game we will be eating chicken wings, plus Coney dogs, chili cheese fries, Guacamole and chips, and even pigs-in-a-blanket.  (okay, just give me this one)

If you are heading to the grocery store to shop for your 'homegate' party here is the most popular football party foods.

Chili is always a crowed favorite, but if you want to switch things up, use steak instead of ground beef.

Pizza, you can't go wrong with pizza.

Buffalo chicken dip is always a crowd favorite, but if you are serving buffalo chicken wings it could be overkill.

Ribs and more ribs.  You can't go wrong with ribs.

Cookies are always a great choice, and sugar cookies rank at the top of the list.

If you are entertaining for the game this weekend, be safe and smart and serve food that you can grab and get back to the game.  My husband would say "nothing fussy".
