The Big Ten Conference announced on Monday morning that Michigan State football's 2020 season opener against Rutgers.

It will be on Saturday, October 24th at Spartan Stadium.  Kickoff is at 12:00pm.  The Big Ten Network will televise the game at that time.

It will mark the debut of new Michigan State head coach Mel Tucker, as well as the return to Rutgers for their head coach, Greg Schiano.

It's the first of nine games for the Spartans this season.  They will play arch-rival Michigan in Week 2 in Ann Arbor (October 31st).
