Lansing area's first full-service Grill and Chill Dairy Queen restaurant is set to open in Grand Ledge sometime next year.

Last week, city officials approved the site plan submitted by Al and Connie Shear in August.  It will occupy just under two acres at 954 E. Saginaw Highway, according to the Lansing State Journal.

The restaurant is Dairy Queen's latest model and will offer a full quick service menu.  That will include hamburgers, sandwiches, fries, salads and Dairy Queen's ice cream treats.  It will be open year-round.
